Criminal Trial Attorneys
Criminal Trial attorneys represent the client in a court of litigation for criminal cases. They might either represent the people, as part of the prosecution or as part of the defense, representing the accused. There are a lot of differences between a criminal trial and a civil trial.
Civil cases are considered to settle disputes between private individuals, or those which affect the private capacity of the person or the institution. On the other hand, a criminal case is one which involves a suit where in the action being complained about is considered to be against the society or is detrimental to the society. This involves crimes such as murder, theft, larceny, among others.
A criminal suit is one which is brought against a suspect who has committed a felony against another. The felony that person has committed is considered to be detrimental to the society as a whole. The government, prosecutes the accused in behalf of the people. (That is the reason why a criminal case is always: Name of Suspect vs. People.)
Criminal trial attorneys focus, of course, on the interpretation of criminal laws and litigation of such criminal suits. They might either defend the accused, as the defense attorney, or prosecute in behalf of the nation.
